Ideas on how to get your dogs to stop chewing on things that they shouldn't?

I have to puppy and they are 5 months and 6 months old. They have been chewing holes in my walls. They have plenty of chew toys and I have tried the bitter apple spray and things like that but nothing is working. Any one have any ideas?

My dog wont stop ripping up his toys to take the squeeky part out, how can i get him to stop?

i have a wiener dog (mini)…he’s VERY playfull and goes crazy without toys. but the problem is he hates rubber toys….and if i buy him toys that squeek he will shred it within hours and take the squeeky out and chew on it and almost choke on it. I’ve tried buying him tennis balls that squeeked so he wouldnt choke on it, but he’s just tear holes in it trying to get to the middle. is there anyway to train him to stop destroying his toys? thanks.

My new 2 yr old shelter dog is great, except for unreasonable amounts of aggression towards cats/dogs/animals?

My boyfriend and I have recently adopted a sweet 2-year old Kai Inu/Husky/Shepard mix named Lucy from our local shelter. We took to her almost immediately but know she is in need of some training. The people at the shelter warned us that she is a little aggressive as far as other animals. We were immediately turned off but decided to find out for ourselves and take her home for a couple-night sleepover. After having her in my backyard she spotted the neighbors dog through the fence and proceeded on running the length of the fence back and forth, cramming her nose through the holes, and growling very aggressively. Her tail was wagging the entire time spite the fact she was baring her teeth. (She didn’t do this in the shelter…) We decided to put her on leash and let her smell the dog face to face. Once she actually met the dog she didn’t rush over and ambush the dog but merely smelled it and lost interest almost immediately.

We realized she was all bark and no bite. All other instances with her have been positive and she has been responding to us and recognizing us as her owners except when there are other animals around she cannot get the opportunity to meet if they are within sight. She is an entirely different dog and does not listen or acknowledge us. We have adopted her but yesterday we had her in our car in an area where there were other dogs walking by. She freaked out, started barking aggressively and really scared us. We tried the "alpha rollover" and I feel like this only made her more aggressive minutes later. We scolded her, said "no!" and tried to distract her with no success. It was scary and disheartening to a degree. She is almost a "perfect" dog other then this fact. It also seems she was a quiet dog until we got her home and now she has started to bark increasingly.
We live with my boyfriend’s grandmother who has a cat whom she adores, but unfortunately is an outdoor cat and needs to get in an out of the house to use the bathroom. Lucy cannot and will not settle down if the cat is within smell or sight. She will tear through everything and anything to get to the cat.
I’m not sure what to do with Lucy and feel it is because she is a little bit of a "special" case because of the fact that she is changing owners at 2 years and has come from a shelter. I do want to stop any bad training behavior of mine and keep it consistent in such a crucial time when she is learning who we are and how we handle her.

How can I stop my 8 mo. old cockapoo, from peeing and pooing in the house, on the carpeting?.?

I tried the training pads. For us, that is the worse thing I could ever have done. I never had a problem training a pup before, but since using those cheap little pads (very thin, too), she’s always heading for the carpeting. I’m in a house with ALL WHITE CARPETING, with thick padding. Not by choice, just can’t afford to buy yet. Anyway, kenneling did not help. Sounds dumb, I know, but I have a "frisbee" dog who jumps really high, but can’t catch the frisbee! She jumps, and jumps, enough to get the kennel to tip and the tray to slide out, then get out through the larger holes in the bottom. Then I barricaded the kennel and got the tray to stay put with a lock on the front drop down door. Instead, she started chewing on the corners of the tray. Even when she got sick last week, she threw up, repeatedly on the carpeting. I locked her in my bathroom with a very tall gate. She started scratching at the 6 panel wood door, which opens inward. HELP!! WHAT CAN I DO. SHE CHEWS 2
I forgot to mention that I also tried the bitter apple spray. She just licks it. I have put tobasco sauce on items, such as my wicker chest, corners of a lamp/table. It works, but it tends to stain some things. I can’t keep using that.
I sure appreciate all of the responses. I’m getting good ideas from everyone, however, some of the responses are mentioning things that I mentioned I have already tried. Crating is on of them. I will now try an enclosed crate. I did, fortunately, know to get one that was more her size. I will also check into professional training. The only thing I wonder about that is, if she gets trained somewhere else, will she come home and do the same old thing she used to. By the way, I do take her out regularly. As a matter of fact, when I take her out, I stay out with her for quite some time. Most of the time now, she goes pee outside, and rarely poos outside. She saves that for when I leave for work. And while we are gone she also still pees. Even if she did go outside. I thought maybe she was going through some separation anxiety, but I don’t know how to tell. Praise and treats are a must.

How do I train this wild pound mutt!?

I’m literally frustrated to tears at this point. I got a puppy from the pound, they didn’t know what she is or how old she is. She looks like some kind of Jack Russell mix to me. I expected her to be a baby, all my other dogs were. NOT THIS DEMON, she’s ruined mine and my mother’s shoes. We’ve repeatedly told her "NO" in a deep voice and taken the shoe to her behind. We have to hang our shoes on the coat rack, and close our bedroom doors. She also digs on the carpet, until she hits wood! She jumps up and bites skirts, causing them to rip. She bites ankles, putting holes in my FAVORITE pants. I’ve bought her plenty of chew toys! They’re everywhere!

I’m so mad at this point I’ve started to smack her on the nose. It’s not effective at all. She bites my hands, my ankles, whatever she catches. I look emo from all the random cuts and scratches.

I’ve put a lot of money into this dog, all the money I’ve been saving for three years. I don’t want to send her back to the pound! I love her, despite the terror and frustration. But it needs to stop.

Please… help me.

Help me please I can't stop crying?

Okay so I have a younger sister who is 10 and 3 years ago she bought a pure bred Siberian husky when he was a puppy and today we just took him to be adopted by a lady who takes care of dogs and sells them to good people for 0. That way people willing to take a dog will take him. And BTW they have to fill out many applications to make sure he is a good dog for them. He was a beautiful beautiful dog, house trained, and neutered. But he has too much energy and we didn’t know when we got him that he would dig holes in the yard or try to escape the house (we even have an electric fence) And he tears up wood off the deck so now its unstable and chews the dog beds up and we can’t afford to take care of him anymore. He thought it would be better for everyone including the dog because he will have better owners who will excersize him. We love him very much but he is huge and my mom barley makes enough money she is only a part time Spanish teacher. Today we gave him to the lady and I couldn’t bear to watch, I couldn’t even speak. I feel so terrible that we did the wrong thing even though it was my sister and moms decision. I have no idea how he is or if hes okay or what hes doing and I felt as soon as we got in the car to go back home that a part of my heart got torn out. I can’t stop feeling guilty and as I type this I am crying all over the keyboard. Please help me figure out if it was wrong to give him to someone else. I need help :(
Everyone else is crying in the house its snowing outside I haven’t eaten all day and my best friend is mad at me I can’t talk to anyone but yahoo answers
BTW when my parents were not divorced we got the dog and my dad paid for it
In case you guys were wondering im 13
